I would like more information about the Emerging Leader Program:


Year one: We will have six meetings every other month starting Spring, 2019. A Vistage expert speaker will conduct a morning workshop on leadership competency on Self-Awareness, Execution, Communication, Performance Management, Team Management and Business Finance

Year two: We will have six meetings every other month focused on Executive Presence, Accountability, Emotional intelligence, Change Management, Business Strategy and Customer Focus

Mentoring Aspect:  The Emerging Leader Program will provide direction on how to build a mentor/mentee relationship with a senior manager within their own company or for those members from smaller companies, mentors will be from outside their company. This is a life skill that will benefit members for their whole careers. Additionally, mentors will receive training materials and coaching on how to improve their mentoring skills and impact.

The objective is to discuss on-the-job application of the 12 Leadership Competencies, which will help with implementation, accountability, and growth.

The afternoons will be spent in small groups developing your personal development plan over the next 60 days. We will start at 8:00 am and end at 4:30 pm.

The cost is $425 a month or $5,100 a year. The venue will be at Clickstop in Urbana, IA on I-380 half way between Waterloo and Cedar Rapids.

This Vistage program, designed in conjunction with Stanford, is designed for I-380 Corridor and Cedar Valley, IA emerging leaders and individual contributors who want to see results, experience full engagement, heightened Emotional Intelligence, practice leadership skills, gain business acumen, have fun and create meaningful mentoring experiences.

Vistage Worldwide has asked Cynthia Goro to launch the Emerging Leader program in NE Iowa. Under the guidance of Vistage Chair, Cynthia Goro, participants will develop the core leadership competencies and confidence, empowering them to deliver on company goals. This leadership training track is for high potential, high performing over achievers.

Unlike other leadership programs that squeeze material into a few back-to-back days and leave implementation at risk, Vistage emerging leaders focus on one topic at a time to encourage mastery. Over a 2-year track, participants will be challenged to take the next step in their careers within your company, rather than seek outside opportunities. Develop a proven team of senior leaders equipped to take you, them and your company to the next level.

Meetings / classes are full-day, every other month sessions conveniently located at Clickstop in Urbana, IA midway between Waterloo and Cedar Rapids on I-380.  We’ll start with breakfast, then nationally ranked Vistage content expert workshop speakers, lunch and afternoon mba like discussion, exercises and executive coaching accountability. Participants will engage in a structured mentoring program and accountability circles during off meeting months.  All participants will have registered access to the Vistage on-line communities of over 23,000 business executives and owners.
